Statement in Response to Gov. Hochul’s 2022 State of the State

On behalf of the more than 80 organizations from across New York who publicly encouraged Gov. Kathy Hochul to launch a Master Plan for Aging, we are excited to see the Governor’s commitment to issuing an executive order establishing a State Master Plan for Aging was included in her 2022 State of the State document.

Our coalition is ready and willing to support this process under the Governor’s leadership, and we look forward to getting started together on developing a comprehensive, cross-sector plan rooted in accountability and transparency to build a New York where healthy aging and the needs of older adults are top priorities.
