Scholarships available for rural health professionals interested in geriatric and palliative medicine

The Health Foundation is funding scholarships for rural health professionals interested in attending the Intensive Update with Board Review Course in Geriatric and Palliative Medicine in New York, New York on September 12-15, 2017.

Presented and sponsored through the Brookdale Department of Palliative Medicine and offered through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, this is a four-day clinically-based intensive course in geriatrics and palliative medicine taught by leading experts in both fields providing updates on geriatric syndromes and palliative medicine and the latest research and treatments.  The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai designates this live activity for a maximum of 25.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

If you are a primary care physician, nurse practitioner, nurse or physician assistant practicing in rural western New York and are interested in attending the course at no cost, please complete and submit the scholarship application 30 days prior to the course date. Applications should be emailed to lsimon@hfwcny.org.  Applicants will be notified of scholarship awards by phone and email within two weeks of application receipt.
