Southern Finger Lakes Fund – Overview and Impact

Download

In 2007, we reached an agreement with the New York State Attorney General to create a specific fund to provide grants that address the needs of vulnerable older adults and children in poverty who live in the area between our two traditional funding regions.

As part of this agreement, the Health Foundation committed to spending $125,000 a year for six years, from 2008 to 2013. To do this, our Board of Trustees created the Southern Finger Lakes Fund which would focus funding on three counties – Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben – all of which are outside of our 16-county funding area and outside of the Greater Rochester Health Foundation’s service area.

This report highlights select Southern Finger Lakes Fund projects and provides a summary of all Southern Finger Lake Fund grants.
