With our commitment to create new service options for older adults set, in 2008 we invested financial and human resources to address the question: “Are we prepared to meet the evolving service and program demands of older adults in Erie and Niagara Counties?”

The Report on Project CODA: Creating Options for Dignified Aging in Erie and Niagara Counties outlines the journey of this locally driven person-centered strategy that’s based on in-depth research on demographics and the specific needs and wants of older adults, caregivers and service providers.

The report creates a platform for educating and informing policymakers about evolving issues around services for older adults and the need for regulatory change. It also provides guidance that may help influence investor decisions regarding appropriate financial investments in elder services. The strategy outlined in the report lays a framework that other communities can build upon to meet the changing expectations of their elders.
