Raymond R. D’Agostino became of a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 2013.
D’Agostino is a retired attorney having practiced health law for almost 40 years, the last twenty of which at the Syracuse-based law firm Hancock Estabrook, LLP.
Prior to his retirement, D’Agostino provided a wide array of legal services to health care providers and organizations, including corporate restructuring, privatization of public facilities, provider joint venturing, physician recruitment and contracting, state and federal regulatory compliance, and counseling on patient care and medical staff matters. He served as general counsel to several hospitals and health care facilities in central and northern New York.
D’Agostino was a member of New York State Bar Association (Health Law Section), American Bar Association (Health Law Section), and the American Health Lawyers Association. He served as Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1971.
D’Agostino was selected for The Best Lawyers for Health Law in America from 1995-2018 and New York-Upstate, Super Lawyers from 2007-2017. He is a member of the board of trustees of Auburn Community Hospital and a member of the board of directors for the Syracuse Community Health Center Foundation. He previously served as a member and past president of the Hospice of Finger Lakes, Home Aides of Central New York and the YMCA of Greater Syracuse. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Commons on St. Anthony, a nursing home in Auburn, NY.
D’Agostino is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and the Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and Justinian Honor Society.
