Raymond R. D’Agostino became of a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 2014.
D’Agostino, a partner in the area of health care practice at the Syracuse-based law firm Hancock Estrabrook, LLP, has practiced health law in New York for more than 30 years and is recognized statewide as a leader in the field.
D’Agostino provides a wide array of legal services to health care providers and organizations, including corporate restructuring, privatization of public facilities, provider joint venturing, physician recruitment and contracting, state and federal regulatory compliance, and counseling on patient care and medical staff matters.
In addition, he serves as general counsel to several hospitals and health care facilities in central and northern New York.
D’Agostino is a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association (Health Law Section), American Bar Association (Health Law Section), and the American Health Lawyers Association. He served as Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1971.
D’Agostino was selected for The Best Lawyers in America from 1995-2014 and New York-Upstate, Super Lawyers from 2007-2013. He is a former member of the board of directors, and past president, for the YMCA of Greater Syracuse and a previous member of the board of directors for the Syracuse Community Health Center Foundation. He additionally served as a member and past president of the board of directors for the Hospice of Finger Lakes as well as Home Aides of Central New York.
D’Agostino is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and the Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the Justinian Honor Society.
