As Program Officer of Health Foundation for Western & Central New York, you will develop and oversee the delivery of strategic, cutting edge programming focused on children’s and maternal health.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

The Health Foundation for Western & Central New York (HFWCNY) is an independent, private foundation dedicated to improving the health and health care of the people and communities of Western and Central New York. Under the direction of the Vice President of Programs, this program officer role contributes to the team achieving the strategic vision and goals of the Foundation, focusing on the health of children and mothers.

AS PROGRAM OFFICER, YOU’LL:

Lead selected initiatives and programs while monitoring outcomes and reporting progress
Develop strong cross-sector relationships while representing the Foundation and identify potential partners
Serve as subject matter expert in children’s and maternal health issues
Review policy implications, opportunities, and barriers as it relates to programming
Effectively articulate programmatic goals to Board of Trustees
Regularly interact with team members, consultants, current grantees, potential grantees, grant-making colleagues, health care leaders and members of the community

The position will be located in Buffalo, NY. Regular travel among the 16 counties of Western and Central New York, as well as periodic statewide and national travel, is required. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with necessary insurance is required.
