Imagine Nonviolence RFP Webinar

Imagine Nonviolence

The Health Foundation for Western & Central New York is proud to announce the second cohort of Imagine Nonviolence (IN), an initiative to support community-based organizations that are working to raise awareness of firearm safety, reduce the risk of firearm injury, prevent gun violence, and provide resources with the goal of creating safer, healthier communities.

Join us to learn more about this opportunity at a webinar on May 13 from 12 pm – 12:45 pm. You’ll hear from our team on what to expect and how to apply.

The full Request for Proposals will be published at the time of the May 13 webinar. The Health Foundation will invite proposals at that time for Imagine Nonviolence through two different programs and levels of funding.

  • Close the Gap will provide funding up to $5,000 to existing firearm safety and/or gun violence prevention programs currently receiving a government grant(s). Funding must be used to strengthen the delivery of an existing program and cover expenses that cannot be charged to the program’s public funding source.
  • Expand the Reach will provide up to $15,000 to support programs working to reduce gun violence, prevent firearm-related injuries, and increase safety for pregnant and birthing people, young children, and/or older adults and their caregivers.

All awardees will take part in a learning collaborative to connect with and learn from each other and other experts as these initiatives are developed and implemented.
