In September 2022, the New York State Department of Health released a proposed amendment to the Medicaid 1115 waiver entitled “New York Health Equity Reform (NYHER): Making Targeted, Evidence-Based Investments to Address the Health Disparities Exacerbated by the COVID-19 Pandemic.”

The proposed amendment has a strong focus on health equity and the integration of social care, and may present new opportunities for partnership and involvement for those who work in these areas.

The Health Foundation for Western & Central New York and The John R. Oishei Foundation are hosting an in-person convening to facilitate information sharing, planning, and strategy in anticipation of these proposed changes.

Please join us if you are in a leadership role in community and social care, public health, health care systems, or related focus areas.

Featuring keynote remarks from Selena Hajiani, Director of Strategic Operations and Planning, New York State Department of Health. See the registration page for full agenda details.
