Join us August 1-2, 2018 as we host the
AARP Leading on Livability Pre-Conference Summit
In conjunction with AARP’s second annual Leading on Livability Summit, The Health Foundation for Western and Central New York is excited to announce that we will host a pre-conference summit on August 1-2, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Syracuse. This intensive is open to all community-based agencies and leaders who focus on livability issues in their work, or who want to sharpen their approach to community engagement. Featuring the design thinking firm Overlap Associates and Grantmakers in Aging Board Chair Ann Monroe, the event will deliver new ways to engage communities in a more meaningful way.
New York is the first State in the Nation to join the Network of Age-Friendly Communities. Following the Pre-Conference Summit, AARP New York will hold their second annual Leading on Livability Summit on August 2-3, 2018. Forward-thinking communities are increasing their focus on livability, walkability, community health, economic development and how these issues impact people of all ages. The Leading on Livability summit will convene leaders to share best practices and innovative ideas toward a common goal: making communities across New York desirable places to live for people of ALL ages. Registration for the Leading on Livability Summit will come in a few weeks.
