Disrupt Disparities: Addressing the Crisis for Rural New Yorkers 50+ 2.0
AARP New York, the Heath Foundation for Western & Central New York and the New York State Office for the Aging cordially invite you to join us virtually for a far-reaching dialogue on the challenges facing older rural New Yorkers in housing and transportation.
We will unveil and discuss new reports addressing these challenges— and recommend policy solutions.
Rural residents, experts, policymakers, advocates and researchers will share their knowledge and expertise about the disparities impacting rural New Yorkers 50-plus, and examples of programs and policies that are making an impact elsewhere.
‘Disrupt Disparities’ is a multi-year initiative detailing inequities in rural areas and communities of color throughout the state and proposing actionable solutions. In 2021, AARP New York highlighted the lack of access to Caregiving, the Internet, Telehealth and Health Care in rural areas.
