(Buffalo, NY) The Health Foundation for Western & Central New York and the League of Women Voters – Buffalo/Niagara will present a nonpartisan, informational virtual panel presentation on how the outcome of the presidential election could have an impact on health care access and affordability.
The webinar, entitled “Your Health Care: What’s at Stake in the Election,” will be held October 28 at 3 pm on Zoom.
The discussion will be moderated by Ryan Zunner, reporter for WBFO. Panelists include:
- Maria Alvarez, Executive Director, NY Statewide Senior Action Council
- Mark Hannay, Director, Metro New York Health Care for All
- Danise Wilson, Executive Director, Reproductive Health Access Project
Topics covered by the panel will include:
- How might each candidate’s platform have an impact on health care access and affordability for the average voter?
- Will recent legislation – such as health coverage premium tax credits and drug price negotiations – be at risk? How have those changes helped, or not?
- What’s at stake when it comes to reproductive and maternal health outcomes?
- How do these issues connect to health equity?
The event will include audience Q&A.
