SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – The Health Foundation for Western & Central New York is proud to welcome Catherine Diviney of Auburn, NY, to its Board of Trustees. Ms. Diviney will join her fellow trustees in providing leadership, oversight, and strategic guidance in pursuit of the Health Foundation’s vision of a healthy central and western New York where racial and socioeconomic equity are prioritized and all people can reach their full potential and obtain equitable health outcomes.
Ms. Diviney is a partner in the health care practice of Hancock Estabrook, LLP, a Syracuse-based law firm. She has concentrated her legal practice in the area of health law since 1993, with prior experience in elder law. She regularly advises health care providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)- and Office of Mental Health (OMH)-licensed providers, nurses, and other licensed professionals on diverse legal issues. In 2021, she was included in the “Upstate New York Super Lawyers” list by Super Lawyers, a ranking publication that selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process.
Ms. Diviney’s community service roles include previously serving on the boards of the Frank H. Hiscock Legal Aid Society, Hospice of the Finger Lakes, and Rosewood Heights Healthcare Center Foundation.
The Health Foundation also announced that long-time trustee Raymond D’Agostino has retired from the board. Mr. D’Agostino, a retired health care attorney and former partner with Hancock Estabrook, joined the Health Foundation’s board in 2013 and most recently served as chair of its governance committee.
