BUFFALO AND SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – The Health Foundation for Western & Central New York has welcomed Valerie Gaydosh to the team as Director of Finance and Administration. In this role, Gaydosh will lead implementation of the Health Foundation’s financial and administrative initiatives; provide oversight and leadership for finance and operations staff members; and contribute to the Health Foundation’s overall efforts to improve the health of the community as a member of the management team.
Gaydosh brings decades of extensive financial and accounting experience to this role. Her previous experience includes roles with nonprofit organizations including the Children’s Home of Wyoming Conference, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership where she served as the Chief Financial Officer. Gaydosh also held several healthcare roles specializing in long term care reimbursement at the Park Associates and most recently was the Vice President of Finance-Reimbursement for Aurora Cares, d/b/a Tara Cares.
A native of northeastern Pennsylvania, Gaydosh received her bachelor of science degree in accounting from King’s College. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Gaydosh is an active volunteer in her community serving as a committee member of St. Stephen’s Church and is the board secretary for the Neighbors Foundation of Grand Island food pantry.
